San Gabriel Stakes winner Anothertwistafate, nominated to both the $3 million Pegasus World Cup and the $1 million Pegasus Turf, likely will run in the latter, according to a Santa Anita Park news release.
Trainer Peter Miller has engaged Joel Rosario to ride the son of Scat Daddy. The Pegasus World Cup is 1 1/8 miles on dirt, and the Pegasus Turf is 1 3/16 miles, both Grade 1, at Gulfstream Park on Jan. 23.
Anothertwistafate's last two races have been his only efforts on turf: his win in the Jan. 2 San Gabriel (G2) at Santa Anita and a fourth-place finish in the Nov. 28 Seabiscuit (G2) at Del Mar. Before that, he won the Longacres Mile (G3) at Emerald Downs.
