Top Ten Active Horses
HRN members have spoken - Kentucky Derby winner Animal Kingdom He is the only 3-year- old, male or female, in the top 10. Belmont 4th-place finisher Nehro is the next highest-ranked 3-year-old, coming in at 11th. Shackleford, fan favorite & Preakness winner, moved up from 18th to 14th. Longshot Belmont shocker Ruler On Ice made a huge move from practically off the board to 20th. The surprising Triple Crown results set up an exciting summer of 3 yr old racing in the Travers, Haskell and Super Derby.
In the All-Time Fillies & Mares ranking, Ruffian and Zenyatta remain at the top, however, there have been some notable shifts since the poll began last week.
The Best of the Rest
Not too many other big changes this week - Goldikova stays at the top spot. It remains to be seen whether her close 2nd to Canford Cliffs at Royal Ascot on Tuesday affects the HRN opinion of her. There are two new faces in the top 10 this week - Tizway and Twirling Candy. Met Mile winner Tizway made a big jump, from unranked to 8th. Twirling Candy cracks the Top 10 this week after his win in the Californian. The John Sadler-trained colt was 15th last week.
Havre de Grace keeps the 3rd position after a strong win in the Obeah at Delaware last weekend. So You Think moved from 7th to 4th, joining Black Caviar in 5th. So You Think will race in Wednesday's Prince of Wales Stakes at Ascot. Blind Luck dropped to 6th, but a win in the Vanity this weekend could move her back up. Gio Ponti's valiant return in the Manhattan keeps him in the top 10, at number 7.Switch dropped to 9th this week from 4th, and will also make her next start in the Vanity.

Lady's Secret moves up to 3rd from 5th, pushing down Twilight Tear. The two 1940's female horses of the year are side by side, with Busher moving up four spots to 4th.
Go For Wand slips to 6th, Princess Rooney stays at 7th, and Regret falls to 8th. Gallorette and Rachel Alexandra swapped spots, with Gallorette now in 9th and Rachel rounding out the Top 10.
