For St. Patrick's Day, the full brother of Triple Crown winner American Pharoah, perhaps the third time's a charm when it comes to his 2018 debut.

Trainer Aidan O'Brien has declared the Pioneerofthe Nile colt to run Saturday in the Curragh Racecourse's Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire Celebration Stakes for 3-year-olds and up going a mile.

Post time is 10:25 a.m. ET in Ireland. Most American wagering platforms should stream the race.

As a juvenile, St. Patrick's Day ran twice in the U.S., then in the care of trainer Bob Baffert, and broke his maiden last out on Sept. 2. A tendon injury sidelined the Coolmore-owned horse, who was then shifted to O'Brien's Irish-based operation.

O'Brien sent St. Patrick's Day postward first on June 14, but the colt acted up in the gate and scratched just before the break. He was also considered for a run at Royal Ascot last week but didn't go there, either.

Should Saturday's race finally be the one, St. Patrick's Day is scheduled to face five rivals, all of them older horses. Jockey Ryan Moore gets first call on O'Brien's runners and will be in the irons.
