All About Frolic's Revenge in Brave Raj

While Midnight Serenade was impressive winning the Seacliff Stakes on Juvenile Showcase day, Stride Rite Stable’s Kentucky homebred filly Frolic’s Revenge also looked good capturing the $75,000 Lindsay Frolic Stakes in the same time of 1:42 for the mile that afternoon.

Trained by Milt Wolfson, Frolic’s Revenge won the Lindsay Frolic by 4 ¾ lengths for trainer Milt Wolfson, who also developed the filly’s dam Stormy Frolic and her dam Lindsay Frolic to become multiple stakes-winners for Stride Rite Racing. Frolic’s Revenge is a daughter of Vindication and was making her first start around two turns after a victory and two thirds sprinting. Jockey Juan Leyva will be back aboard.

Frolic’s Revenge faces eight rival juvenile fillies, including Tracy Pinchin’s Sinister Brew, runner-up in the Lindsay Frolic; and Barbara Anderson and trainer Chris Gatis’ Shebop, winner of all three of her starts so far.

Leading rider Luis Saez gets the call on Sinister Brew for trainer Jose Pinchin. The daughter of Milwaukee Brew won her debut for a $32,000 claiming tag in June and no takers and finished sixth in the $75,000 Desert Vixen Division of the Florida Stallion Stakes series before the Lindsay Frolic.

Jockey Ruben Silvera rides Shebop. Homebred in Florida by Barbara Anderson, the daughter of Proud Accolade won first out in mid-July for a $16,000 claiming price and both starts since then in starter/allowance events, all three sprinting.

Completing the field are Saffie Joseph’s French Politics, Fernando Jara; Alex Lieblong’s Conway Two Step, Daniel Centeno; M & M Racing Stable’s Lion Alexandra, Leroy Nelson; M & M Racing Stable’s Grand Dixie, Jesus Rios; Bathen Thoroughbreds’ All American Star, Luis Jurado; and Cairoli Racing’s Queen Concerto, Jose Alvarez.
