Acoma likely for BC Ladies Classic

Acoma, the long-shot winner of Keeneland’s Grade I Juddmonte Spinster is likely headed to the Breeder’s Cup Ladies Classic.

Though the Juddmonte was expected to be her last race, trainer David Carroll said Sunday morning at Churchill Downs that if the mare continues to train well, she will be entered in the November Breeder’s Cup.

Robby Albarado will ride Acoma in the 1 1/8 miles race, Carroll said. Alan Garcia, who rode Acoma in the Spinster, is committed to Saratoga’s Personal Ensign winner Persistently for the Breeders’ Cup.
