A. P. Warrior Sires First Winner

A. P. Song controlled the pace as the 6-to-5 favorite in the third race at Philadelphia Park on Friday and powered to a dominant six-length romp to become the first career winner for freshman sire A. P. Warrior.

Trained by Frank Petrozzo for owner Elliot Mavorah, the bay two-year-old filly completed the 4 1/2-furlong maiden claiming race in :52.46 under John Bisono. Bred in Kentucky by James Bates, A. P. Song is the first starter out of the Songandaprayer mare Songandaflash.
