60-1 longshot leads to Pick 6 carryover at Aqueduct Thursday

In Race 3, Siena Magic (No. 3, $6.20) kicked off Sunday's Pick 6 sequence as the 2-1 second choice. Twelfthofneverland (No. 2, $14.40) followed in Race 4 and Oh K Funnybone (No. 6, $14) in Race 5. Leading rider Manny Franco picked up his third win of the day in Race 6 aboard post-time favorite Sweet August Lady (No. 3, $4.40).
The biggest upset of the day came in Race 7, when 60-1 longshot Quietude (No. 1, $123), with apprentice rider Joey Martinez, caught even-money favorite My Best Friend (No. 4) in late stretch, securing a carryover in the Pick 6. In the day's finale, Fiery Opal (No. 9, $13.80) finished with authority, resulting in a carryover for the NYRA Bets Late Pick 5.
A consolation payout of $4,369 was awarded to bettors who had five of six winners in the Pick 6.
When live racing resumes on Thursday, the Pick 6 will begin in Race 3 with an approximate post of 1:55 p.m. ET. The NYRA Bets Late Pick 5 will begin in Race 4 with a post time of 2:26 p.m.
First post on Thursday's eight-race card is 12:50 p.m. The day's feature race will be a New York-bred allowance optional-claiming event for 4-year-olds and up going 1 1/8 miles carded as Race 7.
