$50k Guaranteed in Wednesday's Rainbow 6
Gulfstream Park West's 20-cent Rainbow 6 will have a guaranteed pool of $50,000 when racing resumes Wednesday.
The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique ticket, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those bettors holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool.
The Rainbow 6 produced an all-time Pick 6 wagering record on May 25, when the popular multi-race bet paid $6.6 million.
Wednesday's program will also offer a carryover on the Super Hi 5 of $1,863.
No one picked 10 winners on Monday's 10-cent Bet 10. Eight winners returned $3,104.64.
Brother Bobo Easy Winner of Debut
Brother Bobo, a half-brother to the multiple-stakes winner Ribo Bobo, cruised to an easy 1 1/4 length victory in his racing debut Monday against seven other Florida-breds. Owned and trained by the same connections of Ribo Bobo - Mr. Amore Stable and trainer Jason Servis - Brother Bobo covered the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:06.26 under jockey Edgar Prado. Brother Bobo is by freshman sire Kantharos.
Alvarez Wins Three
Jockey Jose Alvarez won three races Monday, winning the fourth with Saturday's for Fun ($12.40), the seventh with Tiz Bobby ($5) and the 10th with Filantropo ($25.20).
