Sunday’s Del Mar Recap – August 4 (Day 15)
Early-pressing types best in Polytrack sprints (2 wire jobs – 5.5f, 6.5f). A stalker and a patient runner accounted for the two synthetic route winners. A wire-to-wire winner and a pair of runners sitting behind runaway early leaders made up the three turf route winners. Turf rail was set at 14 feet.
Two turf route wins for jockey Gary Stevens. Mike Puype saddled two winners on the card including Alberts Hope in the Grade II Best Pal Stakes.
On the ticket front I tabbed one Primary (Cloud Hopper) winner and two Secondary (Mia Lady, Alberts Hope) winners. Carryover into Wednesday!
