Talismanic, the flashy 2017 Breeders’ Cup Turf winner, could make a trip to Hong Kong, according to At The Races.

“Hong Kong is a good option for him, but we need to see how he is when he comes home,” French-based trainer Andre Fabre told At The Races.

“I will discuss it with his owners (Godolphin), but he’s still unexposed.”

Talismanic made his first race in the United States a successful one when he bested Beach Patrol and defending champion Highland Reel in the Breeders’ Cup Turf. It was the first Group/Grade 1 win for the 4-year-old colt by Medaglia d’Oro.

“The ground wasn’t the difference, he’s won on soft before” Fabre said in regards to the firm Del Mar turf, “I thought he would be suited to the way the races in America are run.”

“The French style of racing does not suit him,” Fabre added, “he prefers a faster pace and then he can finish strongly.”

A multiple stakes winner in France with over $2.6 million in earnings, Talismanic has won six of his 16 starts.
