The performance of the week was turned in by Jaycito. The Mike Mitchell runner turned the tables on J P’s Gusto in the Norfolk despite racing wide throughout. The Victory Gallop colt figured to relish two turns and climbs the ladder in my rankings.

To Honor and Serve turned in an impressive effort at Belmont Park on Oct 2. The promising son of freshman sire Bernardini finished second behind top ten member Astrology in his Saratoga debut before romping at a mile and a sixteenth (off the turf) at Big Sandy last time.

Dropping off my list following disappointing efforts are Acaffella and Admiral Perry.

As for the ladies, Winter Memories moves to the head of the turf class. She followed up an impressive debut tally with a romping win in the Miss Grillo (G3). The future turf star could give the Euros a run in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf...
