My last 2011 Kentucky Derby contenders list was posted on Feb 5 so I have a bit of catching up to do. I’ll begin with the Sam Davis and end with a recap of the Southwest Stakes. I have added a couple of newcomers to the list after Tapizar’s injury and Comma To The Top’s disappointing effort at Golden Gate Fields. Clubhouse Ride is also off the Derby trail with an ankle injury, and Chad Brown thinks something is amiss with Tiz Blessed and has sent him to Kentucky for an exam. Let’s get busy…
