The Flightline colt who sold for $10.5 million last week at the OBS April sale has been named Zedan, in honor of the family behind Zedan Racing Stables, who purchased the colt.

The 2-year-old colt, bred in Kentucky by Edward and Beverly Seltzer and W.S. Farish, is out of the Into Mischief mare Lucrezia. He worked a furlong in 9.3 seconds at the sale's under-tack show.

Zedan, who will be trained by Bob Baffert, sold for $575,000 as a weanling at the Keeneland November sale in 2024 and was purchased by Classic Equine.

Flightline was retired at age 4 with a 6-for-6 record. Those wins included four Grade 1s, culminating with an 8 1/4-length win in the 2022 Breeders' Cup Classic.
