Who Am I ???

Photo:

*Bred in Kentucky, I began my career in New York during the summer of my juvenile year.

*A winner of better than my 40% of my career starts, the best I could do as a juvenile was a 2nd place finish.

*When I finally did break my maiden, it came in a stakes race as a three-year-old.

*Four-race winning streaks, all in stakes races, highlighted both my three and four-year-old seasons.

*My record at ten furlongs was an excellent 6-4-1-1, including a victory over one Hall of Famer, and a runner-up to another.

*Meanwhile, I won only once in nine tries at distances of six furlongs or less.

*I was winless at Saratoga until my four-year-old season when I ran perhaps my best career race.

*I was usually near the early pace, and in fact, many of my biggest wins came in wire-to-wire fashion.

*My most prestigious victory came at the expense of my more highly regarded stablemate.

*I was a winner in two different countries, and ran in Maryland more than any other state.

*I retired after my four-year-old season, and after four consecutive defeats.

You should know by now … Who Am I ???
