The Top 30 Whitney Winners of All-Time

Photo: Eclipse Sportswire

With the 87th running of the Whitney Handicap just 24 hours away, I decided to have a little fun with the historic and prestigious race. As will be the case tomorrow, it is quite common for the big race at Saratoga to attract many of the best thoroughbreds in America. It was a struggle, but I tackled the task of ranking the Top 30 winners of the Whitney since the beginning. Will tomorrow's winner crack this list on merit? After pouring through past performances from the past, I have to tell you, it is not going to be easy. My basis for the ranking was on their overall racing career and a blending of excellence and accomplishments. Have fun and please let me know where you think I may have gone astray...
