Racetracks Visited List: Penn National will be #53

Photo: Eclipse Sportswire

I am pleased to report that my list of thoroughbred racetracks visited continues to grow. I added to my total already in 2016 when I made it out to Charles Town for the Charles Town Classic, won by Stanford. Below you can see every thoroughbred racetrack in which I have seen live racing. The count currently stands at 52. Next Wednesday evening, on my way to Belmont Park, I plan on adding one to that list by attending Penn National for the first time.

You'll see from the list that I missed a few good ones, such as Hollywood Park. I am thinking that a visit to Remington Park may happen before the year is out, but feel free to tell me which track you think I absolutely need to get to as soon as possible. As you can see, I still desperately need to see some races outside of North America. Also, I am very curious as to how many of you out there can put my list to shame. Let me know what you think; if Remington does become #54 later this year, what should the all-important #55 be ... Meydan? Ascot? Longchamp?
