Michael Lynch, Jr. Wins Big on Derby Wars! (Video)

Who knew? After all these years of believing that I was the best handicapper in Tinley Park, Illinois, it turns out the best I can claim now is second best. That top distinction definitely goes to Michael Lynch, Jr., who took down the top spot in Saturday's Big Game on Derby Wars.

As part of the $15,000 Belmont High Stakes game on Derby Wars, Mike expertly navigated his way through the excellent card at Belmont Park with winners like Sweet Reason and Coffee Clique, and a solid place price on Top Fortitude, to best a full field of handicappers jockeying to take down the top spot.

I had the pleasure of catching up with Mike today, near both of our homes, and besides being a really good guy, I had the opportunity to learn a little bit more about how a grade 1 handicapper thinks.

Enjoy the video, as Mike talks about his experience in the game, playing tournaments, Derby Wars, a favorable photo, and ... just who in his house gets the largest piece of his $10,000 first prize winnings.
