Revolutionary ... or is it Orb? The Horse Racing Nation team had no trouble selecting those two 2013 Kentucky Derby contenders as the most likely to be draped in the roses, but deciding between the two was a little bit tougher. Based solely on first place votes, Revolutionary is the selection, garnering (9) first place votes. Orb was a close second with (8) first place votes, but with a strong representation in the second place slot, Orb is the overall leader in points. Interestingly, each of the nine team members that picked Revolutionary to win, had Orb for second, including yours truly. That should mean that a Revolutionary - Orb exacta has absolutely no chance of coming in. Normandy Invasion with (3) first place votes and good representation on each of the four lines is the third choice according to Horse Racing Nation, while Verrazano, the 4-1 morning line second choice is clearly not a favorite of the group.
