California Chrome thriving at Taylor Made Farm (VIDEO)

It’s almost hard to imagine, considering how popular he was to begin with, but after a rousing victory in the world’s richest race, California Chrome has more fans than ever. I am very pleased to report to all of you that your racing hero is thriving at his temporary home of Taylor Made Farm. Of course, after his fantastic racing career comes to an end, Taylor Made will once again welcome back the recent Dubai World Cup champion. Seeing what I just saw, I cannot imagine a better home for the 2014 Horse of the Year.

Thanks to the wonderful hospitality of the good folks at Taylor Made, I, along with a few of my Horse Racing Nation colleagues, had the great opportunity of spending a morning with the Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner, and … we shot lots of video!

Shining like a healthy, happy, and muscular penny in the Kentucky son, I have never seen the California-bred look better. In discussing the state of Chrome with the folks around Taylor Made Farm, including the President and CEO, Duncan Taylor, it was very evident how much they enjoy having the champ, and also, how willing they are to create opportunity for the fans to have access to the people’s horse. From TheChampIsBack.com to, open houses in Chrome’s honor, Taylor Made has been, and will be, the happy home of California Chrome.

Watch now, as we discuss the experience of Dubai, immediate and future plans, and best of all, plenty of California Chrome, including a cameo by his dam, Love The Chase. Please enjoy the video!
