Day 1 of Saratoga Handicapping Contest

3:00 pm-  I have made three bets so far in the contest with nothing positive to report.  The favorite won all three races that I bet.  The good news is that I still have my $40 bet left.  There has been only one price horse so far at 7/1 in the 3rd at Saratgoa.  The leader as of 3 pm has $294.  The panic button hasn't been pushed yet.  lol

8:00 pm-  I managed to get off the "donut" in the 3rd at Del Mar with the John Sadler horse that paid $9.80 that gave me $98.  The scary thing was that my woulda coulda shouldas were few and far between.  I think I left a 5/1 shot at Delaware Park on the board.  The leader has $644 from a starting bankroll of $220.  Very nice.  There is a tie for second with $538.  The drop off between 1st and 10th is rather dramatic so its not totally unforseen to see someone come from the outhouse to the penthouse.
