Justify's stall had a new touch to it Sunday morning after his victory in the 2018 Belmont Stakes. I paid a visit to the newest Triple Crown winner, who was brought out from the barn in front of various media, much like when American Pharoah completed his own sweep in 2015.
Justify appeared curious about all of his visitors.
Here's trainer Bob Baffert giving the colt a well-deserved pat.
Justify with assistant trainer Jimmy Barnes, who also deserves credit for this horse's success. Barnes traveled with Justify between legs of the Triple Crown and oversaw most of his training at Churchill Downs.
If it's possible, I Think Justify looked even better after his Triple Crown win.
Justify's blanket of Carnations on display at the barn:
Justify had many visitors, including Ahmed Zayat, owner of American Pharoah, and his son, Justin, who's Zayat Stables' racing manager.
A very happy crew celebrating outside Justify's barn.
And the best moment of my life: meeting a living legend. Thanks for everything, Justify, the 13th Triple Crown winner.
