Before
the start of the Keeneland Yearling Sale of 2013, I reviewed 14 colts
and fillies with nice pedigrees whose cost shouldn't break the bank
in the Diamonds
in the Rough article. With this year's ultimate yearling sale
concluded, let's take a look at how they did in the ring.
Just
to show how tough it can be to sell or purchase a yearling, of the
14, two were RNA (Reserve Not Attained), and half of the selections
didn't make it to the sales ring. Perhaps they'll show up in later
sales or at the two year old auctions.
Yearlings
can be difficult to follow until they re-surface either at a two year
old in training sale or on the racetrack. If you have connections to
any of these babies, I'd appreciate it if you could email me
occasionally informing me of their progress.
