With the proliferation of Thoroughbred horses “starting”
Twitter accounts, I thought it time to capitalize on this growing social/equine
media trend and propose a “Tweeter-view” with one of the many three-year-olds
vying to be the next Kentucky Derby champion. With such a great idea, why not
start with last year’s two-year-old champion, Shanghai Bobby? To my surprise,
when queued to follow me and direct message back and forth, Shanghai Bobby
accepted!
With tongue firmly placed in my cheek and of the horse
responding, I tried to get at the psyche of the equine athlete and his human
handlers. What follows is 10 questions and answers in 140 characters or less.
