Visiting Zenyatta's first foal - Cozmic One (Video)

Since shipping north from the Mayberry training center in Florida, Cozmic One, the first foal of the 2010 Horse of the Year, Zenyatta, has been calling the Belmont Park barn of trainer John Shirreffs his home.

Coz, as he is known around the barn, is a dark bay colt by Bernardini with a small star on his forehead, which means that he definitely resembles Zenyatta. Since arriving in New York, Cozmic One has been learning to be a racehorse with daily jogs around the Belmont Park training track.

His groom Omar Velez said, “Coz is big and strong and isn’t always aware of what his body can do. He is well-behaved, but he does like to give a playful bite now and then.”

Enjoy the video that I took at Belmont Park as Cozmic One got ready to go to the track for his morning work and can back feeling very full of himself, and showed it as he walked to get his bath.
