Drawing Away Stable and trainer David Jacobson claimed
the six year-old Saginaw for $30,000 on March 8th. Since then Saginaw has taken them on an amazing
ride that has stopped in the winner’s circle eight times, including five stakes
races for New York-breds. Check out the most recent victory in the $80,000 Fourstars Allstar Stakes at Aqueduct on Saturday, November 18th.
I
have been lucky to spend time with the Drawing Away
partners both at the track, and off. There is no group of
owners that shows more enthusiasm for racing and has more fun at the track than
Drawing Away Stable. The spirit of
their Stable is on display in the song parody “Saginaw” which plays on the Van
Halen hit “Panama’.
Drawing
Away Stable is currently the leading owner at Aqueduct with five wins and one
third from 10 starts for purses of $163,750.
If you want to learn more about how to become involved in racing, a few of the Drawing Away partners will be speaking at the final New Owners Seminar of the year at Aqueduct on the morning of December 16th. For more information contact Horsemen’s Relations at newowners@nyrainc.com or call 518.584.6200 x4895.
