Triple Crown winner Justify soaks in the season's first snow

Any more here in Kentucky, we skip straight from summer to winter, and that's just fine when it means pictures of the newly minuted Triple Crown winner looking regal in the first snow of the season.

Coolmore America, which will stand Justify at its Ashford Stud in Lexington, Ky., beginning next year, shared a must-see photo of the chestnut on a backdrop of flakes.

Horses don't mind the chilly weather -- we heard many connections in town for the Breeders' Cup mention how the move had their charges thriving -- and Justify appears to be doing just fine while filling out for his stallion career.

Last week, TVG stopped by Coolmore, whose Adrian Wallace said the son of Scat Daddy will cover "a stellar book of mares" in his first season. Wallace added that Justify has "taken everything in stride" making the transition from racehorse to stud.

“He’s a really intelligent horse,” he said. “He’s interested in everything and everyone about him, and I think it’s no secret that that’s really why he was such a great horse.”
