New farm keeps us updated on Cozmic One, Zenyatta’s son

Since announcing in December it had become the new home of Cozmic One, the first foal out of Zenyatta, Kentucky-based De Sousa Stables has continued with a steady stream of updates on the horse as he prepares for his next career.

Recently gelded, Cozmic One retired from racing a maiden. He will be trained up to a try at the Retired Racehorse Project, which transforms former racehorses into equestrians competing in a variety of disciplines.

The main event is called the Thoroughbred Makeover and runs from Oct. 4-7 at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Before changing up his regimen, however, Cozmic One, a son of Bernardini, is getting some time turned out at the farm. Per the De Sousa Stables Facebook page, some recent updates on the horse:
