Justify's Triple Crown shares SI cover with Warriors, Caps

Sports Illustrated labeled it a "The Ultimate Trifecta" as, last week the Washington Capitals claimed the NHL's Stanley Cup, the Golden State Warriors swept the NBA Finals and Justify became American horse racing's 13th Triple Crown winner in successive days.

Each of them received a special cover design, with Justify's edition pairing up next to a headline that he "joins the immortals."

Sports Illustrated writer Tim Layden includes some behind-the-scenes details of Justify's run up to last Saturday's Belmont Stakes. All part of the story: a trip to visit American Pharoah with Bob Baffert; that stakes winner Ax Man upset Justify on a trip to Pimlico, so he didn't make the trip to New York; and some colorful conversations between Baffert and exercise rider Martin Garcia at Justify's workouts.
