It was well documented that this year's Triple Crown sweep by Justify didn't come with the type of national media attention than 2015's version by American Pharoah. But weeks after winning the Belmont Stakes, Justify's still holding a bit of the spotlight.

The unbeaten son of Scat Daddy, trained by Bob Baffert and campaigned by a partnership including WinStar Farm and China Horse Club, appeared this week in People Magazine's list of "100 Reasons to Love America."

Justify is No. 67, behind things like the video game Fortnite, Beyonce and Jay Z, and Popeye's chicken. But he's ranked ahead of Disneyland, the HQ Trivia app and, appropriately, notable underdogs in sports. An underdog Justify most definitely was not.

His description is simple, though a bit debatable given Justify's breeding rights are reportedly going to Coolmore, but WinStar has denied a deal is done: "The world’s most valuable racehorse is worth $75 million."
