Consider Chasing Yesterday the way too early favorite for the 2019 Kentucky Oaks...

The half sister to Triple Crown winner American Pharoah received the call up recently from Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert's secondary training string at Los Alamitos to the big show at Santa Anita Park.

XBTV on Wednesday caught video of the chestnut filly's morning gallop.

Chasing Yesterday is by Tapit and out of the Yankee Gentleman mare Littleprincessemma.

Since American Pharoah swept the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont Stakes in 2015, Littleprincessemma has produced a full brother to the champ, St. Patrick's Day, who's now in training with Aidan O'Brien in Europe. Chasing Yesterday came along in 2016, and in 2017 Littleprincessemma had another full to Pharoah, whose sire is Pioneerof the Nile.

Chasing Yesterday has posted two timed works at Los Alamitos, most recently breezing three furlongs on June 12.
