California Chrome's still racing, but only in his dreams

Liam Benson, the young former trainer of stakes winner Expected Ruler, now finds himself on staff with Taylor Made Stallions, which stands the two-time Horse of the Year California Chrome at stud. Benson got the call to travel with Chrome to Chile for the Southern Hemisphere's breeding season and has shared plenty about it on his Twitter account.

That brings us to a must-see bit of video: California Chrome appearing to run in his dreams. Visions of those victories in the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes or Dubai World Cup? To only name a few...

California Chrome is standing for the second straight year at Haras Sumaya, which before the first shuttling experience Taylor Made President and CEO Duncan Taylor said "was a decision that was not taken lightly."

"Ultimately," he added, "the health and safety of California Chrome, quality of facilities, experience of staff and reputation of the farm were all paramount.”
