HorseCenter: Top picks for a contentious Holy Bull Stakes

This week on HorseCenter, your hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman offer analysis and top picks for a pair of Kentucky Derby preps. Arctic Arrogance tops the Withers (G3) at Aqueduct, and a contentious field of eight is entered in the Holy Bull (G3) at Gulfstream Park.

Please note that shortly after the recording of this week’s show was complete, live racing was canceled on Friday and Saturday at Aqueduct because of “high winds and frigid temperatures.” The Withers instead will be run next Saturday, with entries taken again on Wednesday.

In the Holy Bull, eight 3-year-olds will look to make their mark on the Kentucky Derby trail. Dale Romans sends Cyclone Mischief into his second start in a Derby points race after an impressive allowance victory. Lord Miles comes from connections who will get plenty of attention at the betting windows.

Next week on HorseCenter, Matt and Brian will talk about Kentucky Oaks contenders and update you on the Withers field. As always, thanks for watching the show.
