HorseCenter: Preakness 2022 top contenders

Photo:

This week on HorseCenter, your co-hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman recap the wins by 80-1 long shot Rich Strike in the Kentucky Derby and Secret Oath in the Kentucky Oaks and analyze the early list of probables for the 2022 Preakness Stakes.

The field for the Preakness is starting to take shape with the Kentucky Oaks winner and likely the second-, third- and fourth-place finishers from the Derby – Epicenter, Zandon, and Simplification. (The show was recorded before news broke that Rich Strike would skip the Preakness.)

The guys discuss different pace scenarios in Baltimore and how that will affect runners' chances for victory in the Preakness.

Be sure to visit Horse Racing Nation for the most complete Preakness coverage and, as always, thanks for watching the show.
