HorseCenter: Pegasus World Cup top picks and analysis

Photo:

This week on HorseCenter Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman handicap and offer top picks for the Grade 1 Pegasus World Cup and Pegasus World Cup Turf on Saturday at Gulfstream Park.

The $3 million Pegasus World Cup features the morning-line favorites National Treasure and First Mission. Trained by Bob Baffert, who has two previous wins in this race, National Treasure is the only Grade 1 winner in the field. Lightly raced First Mission comes from the barn of Brad Cox, the winner of the Pegasus with Knicks Go.

Warm Heart
returns to the U.S. for Aiden O’Brien to take on the boys including the undefeated Integration in the $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf. Another full field of 12 will go to post on a day where the total purses are more than $6 million.

Matt and Brian discuss every horse in the two featured races and give out their top picks. Enjoy the racing at Gulfstream and, as always, thanks for watching the show.
