HorseCenter: Pegasus preview day top picks

This week on HorseCenter, your hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman handicap and offer top picks for a pair of graded-stakes races from Gulfstream Park on Saturday, which will serve as preps for Pegaus World Cup Day.

Fresh off a graded-stakes win at Keeneland, O'Connor tops the Grade 3 Harlan's Holiday, which is the local prep for the Pegasus World Cup (G1). The 6-year-old Saffie Joseph Jr. trainee leads a field of 11 horses who hope to prove that they deserve a spot in the $3 million race on Jan. 27.

Trainer Chad Brown has a strong pair on the turf in the Fort Lauderdale (G2). Stone Age and Running Bee will vie for favoritism in the field of 10 horses who are preparing for the $1 million Pegasus World Cup Turf Invitational (G1).

Matt and Brian made four different horses their top picks in the big races at the Florida track. Good luck this weekend and, as always, thanks for watching the show.
