HorseCenter: Pegasus preps picks + 3-year-old Eclipse talk

This week on HorseCenter, your hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman discuss the very interesting 3-year-old Eclipse Award race. They also handicap and offer top picks for the Harlan's Holiday (G3) and Fort Lauderdale (G2) from Gulfstream Park.

Matt and Brian discuss the merits of five 3-year-olds who have a chance to win that division’s Eclipse Award. The guys identify the three most likely finalists for the award and eventuallly agree on the champion.

Saturday at Gulfstream Park, the final prep races for the Pegasus World Cup (G1) and the Pegasus World Cup Turf (G1) will be run. On the dirt in the Harlan’s Holiday, Simplification and Skippylongstocking have the class edge over the field of eight. Colonel Liam returns from a nine-month layoff in the Fort Lauderdale as he prepares to try to win the Pegasus Turf for the third time.
