This week on HorseCenter, co-hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman preview Saturday's Matt Winn Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs on Saturday as the second half of the Kentucky Derby trail begins.
Maxfield, who was unbeaten as a juvenile, will be the favorite as he makes his 2020 debut on a card with four other loaded stakes races making up the first major day of racing this year under the Twin Spires.
The guys also share their thoughts about the announcement that Belmont Stakes will be run on June 20 and at a mile and an eighth as the first leg of this year’s Triple Crown series, preceding the Sept. 5 Kentucky Derby and Oct. 3 Preakness Stakes.
And as always, thanks for watching the show.
