HorseCenter: Kentucky Derby and Oaks final picks, wagers

The wait is finally over. This week on HorseCenter, Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman present their final Kentucky Derby 2024 episode with draw and pace analysis, top picks and suggested wagers for the big race. Your hosts also tackle a wide-open edition of the Kentucky Oaks.

The 150th running of the Kentucky Derby is just days away. Matt and Brian give their thoughts about how the post-position draw might affect the morning-line favorites Sierra Leone and Fierceness. The guys give their final top five picks for the run for the roses along with their most successful wagering strategies.

The Kentucky Oaks drew a contentious field of 14 fillies that has five horses listed between 7-2 and 5-1 on the morning line. For the Oaks, Brian and Matt give their top three choices, which do not include Tarifa and Leslie’s Rose. The guys also have their favorite Oaks wagers, including the two-day daily double and the Pick 3.
