This week on HorseCenter, co-hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman run down current Kentucky Derby Top 10 rankings and preview Saturday's $1 million Rebel Stakes (G2).
But first, to open things up the hosts opine on racing's doping scandal unveiled this week by federal investigators that led to the arrests and suspensions of trainers Jason Servis and Jorge Navarro.
As for those Derby lists, they have the same two horses in the first two positions, looking to already identify a winner on the first Saturday in May.
As the Derby trail moves back to Oaklawn Park, the Rebel field attracted eight 3-year-olds headed by the Bob Baffert-trained favorite Nadal.
Thanks for watching the show on a busy week in the racing world.
