HorseCenter: 10 Kentucky Derby 2019 dark horses to watch

This week on HorseCenter, with no Saturday preps to preview, hosts Matt Shifman and Brian Zipse look beyond the big names to spotlight 10 intriguing dark horses on the 2019 Kentucky Derby trail.

Those from this list, which includes recent Risen Star (G2) runner-up Country House, debut Todd Pletcher winner Intrepid Heart and Global Campaign, the sibling of Bolt d'Oro, have a legitimate chance of making the field on the first Saturday in May.

Heck, a few could be considered win prospects even though they don't yet have the points to qualify -- and in a few cases have no Derby points yet at all.

Others discussed on the dark horses list include Galilean, whose path has been likened to California Chrome; Mucho, the Bill Mott trainee who's Grade 1-placed; and stakes winners Haikal, Long Range Toddy, Sueno, Win Win Win and Anothertwistafate.

That makes 10 names to consider for your Derby lists.

As always, thanks for tuning into HorseCenter!
