HorseCenter: Jim Dandy and San Diego Handicap picks

This week on HorseCenter, your co-hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman handicap and make top picks for an excellent edition of the Jim Dandy from Saratoga and a strong field of older horses in Del Mar's San Diego Handicap.

The Jim Dandy (G2) attracted a small field that includes three of the top seven finishers from the Kentucky Derby (G1) along with the winner of the Preakness. Early Voting, Epicenter and Zandon all have won more than $1 million in their careers and rank as top members of the 3-year-old division.

The San Diego Handicap (G2) drew a distinguished field of nine where it is hard to eliminate any of the horses. The favorites will be Country Grammer, the winner of the Dubai World Cup (G1), and Mandaloun, who eventually was awarded the 2021 Kentucky Derby victory.

Good luck, and enjoy these two challenging races on Saturday. And, as always, thanks for watching the show.
