HorseCenter: Essential Quality and Monmouth Park spotlight

Photo:

Today on HorseCenter, your co-hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman look back at Belmont Stakes day as they review the terrific performances of Essential Quality and Hot Rod Charlie in the final leg of the Triple Crown.

The guys also highlight the victories of three horses who moved to the top of their divisions - Silver State in the Met Mile, Letruska in the Ogden Phipps, and Domestic Spending in the Manhattan.

HorseCenter will turn to Monmouth Park for the top two races of the week, the Pegasus and the Salvator Mile. Matt and Brian will also discuss the controversial new rules for whip use in races at the Jersey Shore track.

Have a great weekend and, as always, thanks for watching the show.
