HorseCenter: Cigar Mile, Remsen and Demoiselle selections

This week on HorseCenter, your hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman focus on the Big A, as they handicap three graded stakes races from the New York track, led by a wide-open edition of the Grade 1 Cigar Mile.

The Cigar Mile drew a field of eight in the final Grade 1 of the year at the NYRA tracks. Code of Honor is the leading money winner in the field but he faces two horses coming off strong performances in the Breeders’ Cup in Following Sea and Ginobili and recent winner Independence Hall.

Eight Kentucky Derby hopefuls will line-up in the Grade 2 Remsen as the 2-year-olds stretch out to the nine-furlong distance. The fillies will also tackle that same distance as they prepare for the Kentucky Oaks in the Grade 2 Demoiselle.

The guys have picks, analysis, and video replays to get you ready for the big day of racing at Aqueduct. Good luck this weekend and, as always, thanks for watching the show.
