HorseCenter: On Belmont Stakes longshots, pace projection

Photo: Eclipse Sportswire

This week on HorseCenter, hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman run down their top Belmont Stakes as well as early odds for the June 8 race. Accordingly, with the prospective field looking mostly in place, there's a pace projection for the nine probable runners.

The guys also take a look at the star-studded undercard shaping up. Among others, division leaders such as Kentucky Oaks winner Serengeti Empress, a top older male in McKinzie, top older female Midnight Bisou amd Bricks and Mortar, the No. 1 overall horse in the latest NTRA rankings.

Next week following the post position draw, a new edition of the show will feature a final look at the third leg of the Triple Crown, plus the hosts will share their wagers heading into a big weekend at Belmont Park.

As always, thanks for tuning into HorseCenter.
