HorseCenter: Which 5 Arkansas Derby winners are its legends?

This week on HorseCenter, hosts Brian Zipse and Matt Shifman look back at the greatest Arkansas Derby winners in history.

With the 2020 renewal now the main attraction on the first Saturday in May, the guys recall the many great 3-year-olds who won Oaklawn Park’s signature race.

Brian and Matt ultimately settle on five true legends, but also discuss a long list of honorable mentions. The show features Arkansas Derby winners from 1968 to 2019, including superstars like American Pharoah and Curlin, along with some less familiar names such as Proper Reality and Elocutionist.

Enjoy this historic look at the Arkansas Derby and let us know who you consider to be the race's greatest winner. Then after May 2, we'll see if 2020's hero is a worthy addition to the list.

As always, thank you for joining us on HorseCenter.
