Man O' War jeasily won the Hopeful Stakes at Saratoga by 4 lengths while carrying 130 pounds, 6-18 more than his rivals.  His time was 1:13 for the 6 furlongs on a track listed as slow, earning $24,600.  The official chart states just how easy this win was for the big red colt - "Man o' War followed Constancy under slight restraint in the early running and assumed command at his leisure when entering the stretch, to win in a canter."  8 wins in 9 starts ~1919
