Sisterly Love on the Rise

Barely more than two months ago Sisterly Love, a 4-year old daughter of Bellamy Road out of the Dixieland Band mare Odylic, had never raced. Fast forward to today, and the good-looking bay filly is now 3 for 3 with another win over the Gulfstream Park main track.
A late bloomer, Sisterly Love immediately paid dividends on her owners’ patience with an 11 ½ length romp in her debut, a 5.5 furlong affair at Calder. She covered the distance in good time, too, stopping the clock in 1.05:44, just over a second off the track record. In her second start, she jumped into allowance company. Unfazed, Sisterly Love again showed why her connections were right to be patient with her. After pressing the pace, she pulled clear in the final stages of the mile long race to win by a length and a quarter.
In today’s race, a one mile AlwOC affair, Sisterly Love again used her speed to her advantage. Coming out of the gate, she vied with Magic Hour for the lead. Once she had it, she never relinquished it, pulling away to win by 2 ½ lengths in a modest 1.37:13.
Sisterly Love will continue to move forward. After three fantastic races, Sisterly Love will again move up in class, with her next race likely coming in stakes company. Several options are on the table, including the mile and a sixteenth G3 Sabin Stakes. No decisions have been made just yet except that her next start will be at Gulfstream.
Patience has its rewards, and Sisterly Love is proof positive of that. So long as she continues to progress, she will be one to watch in the future.
