No Arc or Breeders' Cup for Snow Fairy

A mare that has only recently returned from a significant tendon injury that threatened her racing career, Snow Fairy had been under consideration for next Sunday's Prix de L'Arc de Triomphe prior to the Breeders Cup, but will not be risked for the rest of the season with Ed Dunlop opting to pack up and hold fire until next season.
"She worked on Friday and we were really pleased with her, but last night we found just a little bit of heat in the leg" said Dunlop on speaking with Racing UK, "Taking everything into consideration with the previous injury she's had, it was too much of a risk to carry on, so we've pulled up stumps".
As reported previously on Horse Racing Nation, the possibility of Snow Fairy returning to training in 2013 remains a tantalising prospect and one that connections look to be readily considering. "Mrs Patino is keen, if possible, to think about next season but she will not be running again this season"
A winner of seven Group 1 races, Snow Fairy was last seen surging to victory with considerable ease in the Irish Champion Stakes.
