Free nominations for the 2014 Dubai World Cup are nearing a close, with Friday January 17th 2014 being the final date that connections can nominate their horse for free for entry on Dubai World Cup night.
With the incentives high for connections, including free air fares for owners, trainers and jockeys and all feed, bedding, shoeing and travelling expenses covered for the duration of the entrants stay, there has never been a better time for owners to nominate to run at the Dubai World Cup meeting.
Headlined by the $10millon Dubai World Cup, the meeting offers a total of £27.5million through its nine race card.
Offering opportunities for both turf and tapeta specialists, there is something for everyone on Dubai World Cup night with a duo of sprint contests perfectly positioned between a mix of Classic trials, highly-acclaimed turf contests and a pure-bred Arabian Group 1 - the Kahayla Classic.
Offering $600,000 to the winner, the GII Godolphin Mile is an ideal stepping stone for any thoroughbred looking for an early season campaign and particularly provides a perfect opportunity for European horses prior to the GI Lockinge Stakes at Newbury in May.
The GI UAE Derby also provides a good opportunity for three year old colts targeting the Kentucky Derby to earn a valuable 100 entry points towards that race as well as a $1.2million first prize.
Nominations can be made by contacting the Emirates Racing Authority for the attention of Hilary Youdale at P O Box 9452, Dubai, UAE or via hilary.youdale@emiratesracing.com
