Past $100,000 Game Champion Barbara Bowley has three tips to put you in the fast lane to a life-changing score.

Every good attack needs planning

A military strike is a carefully planned event. Every small move is precisely calculated to insure a high success rate. You want to think of the $100,000 Whitney Game as a military attack. The more preparation you can do, the better. When you do your handicapping, look over possible scenarios and make not just one plan, but three. When contemplate the possible outcome of a race, consider where you might fall on the leaderboard and make an A, B and C plan accordingly. Preparation often trumps execution.

Put yourself inside the race

Each race is another golden opportunity to get closer to $50,000. When the stakes are high, it easy to get out of rhythm. Using your preparation allows you to focus one race at a time. Focus on the task at hand and use every race as an opportunity to put points on the board.

Use your ABC’s

There are plenty of acronyms for the first few letters of the alphabet, but Always Be Cashing just might be the one to net you $50,000. In the July $100,000 Game, winner Bill Shurman ended the twenty race contest with a $125.20 total, averaged out to just $6.26 for each of his win/place propositions. Over the course of twenty two races, continuous points on the board is key. Always Be Cashing and you might just be going home with fifty grand!
